Data & Indicators

Browse Bangladesh spatial datasets, explore 1,466 national development indicators from World Bank, HDX, and WHO with interactive charts, and run exploratory analysis, regression, correlation, and forecasting, all reproducible for research papers.

The catalogue draws on NASA, ESA, JRC, USGS, the World Bank, WHO, OCHA and HDX. Each entry records its source, resolution, temporal range and licence. Alongside the spatial layers sit national time-series indicators with charts, plus an analysis workspace for regression, correlation and forecasting. All data is documented and open.

Research

Research

Data-backed research articles and analysis from BISTO, reproducible, source-cited, and grounded in real observations of Bangladesh's forests, environment, climate, and agriculture.

Each paper takes a question about Bangladesh's land, climate, or people and answers it with the indicators and spatial layers available on the platform. The works cover national forest-change accounting, district-level heat exposure, flood and riverbank-erosion risk, poverty and disaster exposure, infrastructure and service access, and the longer economic and demographic trends shaping the country. Methods are described in plain terms, every number is tied back to a named source, and the underlying data is open so that results can be checked and extended. The research is original in-house analysis, written for a technical but broad audience, and updated on a rolling basis as new observations become available.

News

A daily brief on the issues that touch Bangladesh most, from floods and cyclones to air pollution, food prices, and public health. Refreshed four times a day, sourced, and trimmed to what actually matters.

BISTO groups each day's top stories from Bangladesh's national and regional outlets and links them to the related indicators and map layers. Every item carries its source, and the summaries are our own analysis, not republished text.
